This is an HDR image. Normally, long exposure images would be shot with an ND filter, of which I do not have. What I did was set my camera up on the tripod and shoot 3 images. One normal exposure, one under exposure and one over exposure. I then fiddled with combining them in photoshop, partially using an HDR effect, but also partially removing bits of the three images that I didn’t want, until I got the long exposure effect, but still with detail in the water. Probably easier to buy a filter, but I rarely do long exposure work, and they are a bit pricey for my liking. I can’t tell you where this river is, because we were just driving about in the middle of nowhere (or so it seemed).
