Shot in a studio against a hand-painted gothic backdrop, this image was carefully lit to highlight the model’s piercing gaze and the sinister details of his attire. The staff, originally crafted from a broomstick and a plastic Halloween skull, adds a foreboding touch to the scene. Blade Williams fully embodied the role of a dark sorcerer, delivering expressions that exude quiet but intense menace.

The interplay of light and shadow makes this portrait feel almost timeless, like an old-world sorcerer stepping out of legend. The stark black-and-white treatment heightens the drama, drawing the eye directly to the subject’s face and the eerie glow of the skull-topped staff.
