I really struggle to find a composition I am happy with on flamingo photographs, but I really liked this portrait. I find their look so unusual, and so pink goddamit!! It is almost weird that their eyes are not also pink, in a way! It feels a bit weird, I guess, with the head upside down, but I like the curve it creates in the shot.

Sometimes we get so busy photographing animals and birds that we forget we can actually take portraits as well, and don’t have to shoot the entire creature! I was very happy with this one.
