The Fall

We were young and perky once,

We remember that to be.

We were something to behold, we were!

Yeah!

Something good to see!

We never used to wear much.

“Why hide ourselves?” we said.

We tried to stay quite visible!

Our charm went to our head!

But, as we grew older,

we began to pick up weight.

Soon, we weren’t so pretty.

“Fallen Angels” was our fate.

At first, we fell a little

and then, a little more,

and slowly,

well… not so slowly…

We fell towards the floor.

Gradually, we got covered,

The gift that no more was!

Now we stay well buried

under clothing, and in bras.
