We were supposed to be taking the dog for a walk. We drove to Leicester and walked along a canal. I got so engrossed in photographing this that I got left behind, and was collected on the way back.

These damsel flies are just such a beautiful electric blue, and so graceful. How could I not stop to photograph them! I adore the little pop-eyes!
