Wolf Lord Painting
This is a painting from many years ago. It was painted last minute. My son, Blade, came to me in his early, early high school years and said to me, he would like to give a painting ofd a wolf to his friend, and could I paint one for him to give to her.
I was horrified!
Firstly, I had barely painted anything at all before then, and secondly, he needed it for the next day. I had a few scrappy old paints and some leftover glitter stars, so I threw some paint down and prayed it would work.
Oh my God! I was freaking out. I wasn’t happy at all.
But the next day, when he saw it, he asked me to drive him straight over to give his gift to her. He was delighted with it. To this day, I have no idea if she liked it or not. High chance it went in the bin in the end, but I took a phone snap of it before handing it over, so I have this to remind me of the joys of being a parent. Last minute dot com ha ha ha!
I decided this picture was the nearest thing I had to a wolf, so I have used it to accompany my Wolf Lord poem in the poetry section here. I though then, I should maybe make a note of how it came to be painted!
