This painting is of one of my photographs. Whilst I still have a long way to go, I was very pleased with this painting. To me, there is a huge step up from any other painting I have done of a person, and it is encouraging enough that I may have another go again in the future.

I don’t paint nearly often enough, but after doing this one, I suddenly feel that I actually might be able to learn and do this. My barometer of success is whether or not I hate an image after painting it. I do not hate this one.

I need to make a concerted effort to have another go at paainting a person, and try for better depth in my work.
