Ivory Stonesoft is a striking monochrome piece that explores the contrast between delicacy and strength. Model Lydia stands front-facing in a still, composed pose, her long white hair cascading over a flowing white gown. Her skin has been carefully treated in post-production to resemble marble, creating an almost sculptural presence. Dark lips provide a stark contrast, emphasising her quiet intensity.

The wings—stone dragon wings—were photographed separately from an ornament on my desk and seamlessly integrated into the composition. The brushwork, refined in Photoshop, enhances the texture and detail, ensuring they feel like an intrinsic part of the figure rather than an addition. The monochrome palette reinforces the theme, stripping away distraction and focusing entirely on form, contrast, and emotion.

At its core, Ivory Stonesoft is a reflection on the duality of womankind. Some women may appear delicate, fragile, or ornamental, yet beneath the surface, they possess an unyielding strength—unyielding as stone. Lydia, however, is a rare exception, being as beautiful in character as she is in appearance. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, bringing grace and quiet power to the image.
