I have tried a few time to photograph the Humber Bridge, in Hull, and found it to be quite challenging. This is a suspension bridge which moves quite a bit. If you shoot long exposure, it can easily give a ghosting effect, which is a bit rubbish, unless you actually want that look!
I did finally manage to get a shot of the bridge, but then, I found it to be a little boring to be quite honest. I decided then, that i would like a more arty feel minimalist look to make it more interesting. I used an HDR processing, and then I converted to monochrome.
It still did not feel right to me. I then decided to try a selenium (blue) tone rather than black and white, and I was finally happy with my image.
