Gotta tell you, I don’t like this painting. There is so much I hate about it. In fact, someone was looking at my paintings and said, “Ooh, I really like that one!” and I was gob-smacked. Then another person said something similar. I realised that just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean other people won’t. It seems that art is so subjective that I can’t decide not to show something because I don’t like it, because others might! There is a lesson in there somewhere!

I think my biggest issue is the colour palette I chose. I don’t think I can love things that are not either dark or vibrant. This set of colours is not in my happy range. Not even sure why I chose them. I think I might try another windowed effect sometime with different colours to see how I feel about the style and test my theory.
