A Drop of Golden Sun

Since I liked the Blue Moon image so much, I wondered if it was the colours themselves, or the look. I wondered, if I did a golden sun along the same sort of lines, how would that look.

So I went monochromatic again but did a warm sun image instead. I ran out of rectangular canvas so I used a small square one I had.

I like this as well, so I think it is the composition that might be what I like.

I find that I quite like ladling my acrylic paint onto the canvas, giving a bit of texture to the image, though it is a bit of a cow to work with if you are too impatient to let things dry in between… * cough, cough *.
